Viv has been making this particular bread for the past 40 years, here with the addition of sesame seed to give a lovely extra flavoursome texture. There are no additives that are often used in commercial products to prolong shelf life. However, these freeze very well and will then last a month or more in the freezer. This same recipe can be provided using white flour or half and half with wholemeal flour.
We use organic flour from Shipton Mill for this bread.
